V8 Supercar Interviews

Walkinshaw Adopted Rising Star: Inside Interview with Nick Percat

Interview with Nick PercatRegarded as the next big thing by Walkinshaw Performance Racing, Nick Percat has progressed up the motorsport ranks from karting to Formula Ford to making his V8 Supercar Development series debut this year. V8SFG reporter Rahual, sat down with Nick to talk all things motorsport from where it all began to his future plans which includes driving in the main series.

RAHUL: Back to where it began. How and why did you get involved with motorsport?

NICK: That would be down to my Dad (Marc) he was racing go karts and I used to go to the track with him ( at a very very young age) But it probably started earlier than that when I was just 18months old at the Australian Formula one grand prix in Adelaide. Then when I was 7 I started karting myself.

Reynolds: I'll Be Back

illbeback_reynoldsAfter making a promising debut V8 Supercar rookie season last year, David Reynolds found himself without a full time drive in 2010. Fans asked the three letter question; "WHY"? We sat down with Dave Reynolds just before the Townsville round to ask him about the dropping last December and his plans for 2010 and beyond.

JUSTIN: We last saw you in the V8 Supercar series last year in the final round at Homebush. You put the car in the top 10 and showed great pace then were out of a full time drive last year. What has David Reynolds been up to in 2010 in terms of racing?

Brighty: BJR A Fresh Start

freshstartforbrightyAfter closing his own operations, Jason Bright moved to BJR in 2010 in the Trading Post commodore. We catch up with Brighty to find out if hes settled within the team and his future ambitions.

JUSTIN: You made the big switch from Ford to Holden at the end of last year’s championship series. You have made the switch before but how have the fans reacted?

Jason Bright: A lot has changed since I first made the switch back in 2001, at that time it was not taken very well and I am sure at the same time Craig Lowndes was copping quite a bit of flack as well.  It seems the fans are a little more use to it now and understand it from the drivers view a little more, there also seems to be a lot more fans following the drivers these days rather than just manufacturers and teams.
