Whincup stuffed up the Gold Coast event last year and came back very very strong. I fully expect him to bounce back however Courtney is just in one of those periods at the moment where he and the team are at the top of their game.

It's hard to believe that Whincup led the championship for over 18 months straight, quite an achievement for him. It is great to finally see someone else up there though, and scarily, I'd rather see JC in a Ford leading the series over Whincup in a Holden .
