If it does happen, I can see them sticking with the 5.0L V8 Formula but may change from the iron block based engines to an alloy block unit

I didn't see the interest from BMW either, the only car they could use pretty much was the M3... but it's a bit short for a sedan compared to the Commodores and Falcons that they had.

As long as they dont have those silly aero fins near the wheels - i hate those...they make the cars look like a Moulinex machine on wheels - julienne potato and carrots via the wheel arches.

Is this what the ATTC will turn into? Germany cars aswell??? I don't like the idea, though would like to see them at a non-championship Bathurst 1000 race.

I don't think we should bring German manufactuers in if more manufactuers appear when COTF arrives. The cars should be based on those in the same league as the Commodore and Falcon (Aurion, Accord, Sonata??) as this would be more related to off track competition (even though the race cars will pretty much share nothing mechanical with the road cars!!).

And as for a DTM-style V8 Supercar series...no. V8 Supercars should stick with its touring car roots and not have the cars become open-wheelers with parts from road cars...
