And which team is the first to defend Skaifey? You guessed it - TeamVodafone. That's funny, when another team seems to get an unfair advantage they sook, yet when they get an unfair advantage and they know it they are sternly defending whoever is behind it. Bet the Kelly's are feeling pissed off that Skaifey's using them to grab vital info for TeamVodafone after Abu Dhabi.

Then again, I'm not surprised - that's right it's an excuse to win both enduros as part of their "Let's Bugger V8 Supercars Forever By Winning Every Race" campaign.

I agree with Garry Rogers. Use Crompton instead.

I would like to see Skaife show some neutrality by doing a lap in one of the Falcons. I guess we'll see Crompton do that instead.

I have a question - why is it necessary to have the commentators drive a lap for the television viewers??

I remember when Ten had a hot lap thing, they'd take onboard footage from practice or qualifying, and then the commentators would explain the lap using that.

And if they aren't smart enough to try that, just do what Garry said...

They said the other day that Neil and Mark Larko where going to be driving some Fords at other events.

I think it is great to see Skaifey in a car doing some laps Just wish he was full time driving again
But I am his number one fan too so yeah

I can see how this would upset some teams.

But really no advantage was gained, its just the perception people have. Skaife was more so checking out the track (as he has never raced on the full circuit before) and providing commentary.

Check out HRT. They had an extra 40 minutes of practice, did they gain an advantage? Didn't appear so.

Skaife needs to race it though because when hes in the box, he needs to know what hes talking about, so he can be extra informative in the race/qual commentary.

Yeah but I want to see Skaifey in a Ford. Who knows, he might like it.

The point that Gary Rogers is getting across and he is spot on is that all driver get so much practise time in a car per season. So when it comes time for the enduros. Mark will get his alloted time plus the extra laps around the track during the sprint rounds.

Jamie and 888 whinged about extra time in practise for the bottom places (Just happen to include HRT, and good luck to doing it, smart thinking) now they look like bigger dills for opening their traps. CRAIG!! GET OUT BEFORE THEY TURN YOU INTO A WHINGER ALSO!!!

Rules are rules, hey Roland!?

i have to agree know advantage was gained - but im a one sided fan (i prefer the phrase proffesional crazed fan rather then stalker )

I too as much as i hate to admit it would like to see him in a ford that way it might shut a few people up about him being biased BUT will it happen ?? i doubt it.

Crompo would do both - when i did my hot lap with skaifie through HRT a few years back crompo was the second driver on the day and called skaifie "boss" - so obviously he isnt fussed where he drives

If drives think there is going to be an unfair advantage then put it in writing and protest - stop him from driving during the race coverage cause all im hearing at the moment is blah blah blah whinge whinge whinge

why cant they just get a actual driver in the series to do a TV Lap? they use to do this and I thought that this was all right as long as they dont get an advantage over others. they should do this in a practice session

I can see where Garry is coming from which I can understand...but only given 2 or 3 laps, can Skaife really get a full understanding of what the car is doing?

I'd like to see what Channel 10 did a few years ago where they showed you onboard for a full lap, generally from the car nose view, I enjoyed being on the ground and experiencing the track from that aspect.
