Dunlop is welcoming V8 fans at the Dunlop Townsville 400 to come and enjoy the V8 experience at its Dunlop Driving Arcade.
Open Friday to Sunday, visitors to the track have the chance to rub shoulders with past and present drivers, receive giveaways from grid girls and boys, win prizes and race each other on the arcade-style driving simulators.
Dunlop Brand Manager, Melissa Tilley, said that the Dunlop Driving Arcade will be a V8 Supercar experience.
"As the naming rights sponsor of the inaugural Dunlop Townsville 400, we wanted to give the fans a V8 experience that complements the racing,” Ms Tilley said.
“Ford and Holden fans alike will get the chance to race V8 Supercar legend and two time Bathurst 1000 winner John Bowe on the arcade-style driving simulators.
“Dunlop also has a V8 Supercar wheel changing machine for those keen to try and match the experts to win prizes, such as limited edition Dunlop Townsville 400 merchandise, along with the FPR signing cards, FPR Pit Garage tours and plenty more,” she said.
Ford Performance Racing’s (FPR) Mark Winterbottom and Steven Richards will be available for photos and autographs Friday morning from 9.45am to 10.15am, as well as have the opportunity to sit in the FPR show car for photo opportunities in a replica V8 Supercar.
Located near the merchandise area, the Driving Arcade will also host tyre care and maintenance workshops by qualified tyre technicians for fans, highlighting how simple checks can increase safety and performance, and reduce the costs of running your car.
