Mixed views on this for me. While its good to stop people pitting on lap 1, it limits the variation on strategy - we don't want all the teams doing the same thing.

The big problem with the five lap rule is that if you have a problem say in the first or second corner , be it your

fault or someone elses fault you cannot pit to get any problems repaired until after lap five or do an additional

pit stop. Not fair. And people who have incidents after lap five can pit and refuel etc while any problems fixed.

Still not fair.
