Yeah I agree Peter, in a dangerous sport, its about making it as safe as directly possible. Safety should remain the prioty and it has been in V8 Supercars for a long time.
I was just surprised when Tim said he didn't know what was under the car. |

It's funny with most of the comments made about the interview yet when you watch the interview it can turn out a different way to what people have been posting!

Race control had to call him in, they had already issued the mechanical flag. Race control cannot remove the flag once showen to a driver even though the body panel came off.
Agree to what has already been said. 'IF' there was more problems and they did not check it out and something came off the car and ended up hitting someone, race control would be the ones up on the stand in court getting stuck in by lawers. Who is at fault depends who you support, yes Courtney loosened the panel, but does Whincup continue to block the faster car or settle for one less position and more points then what he ended up with? How many times have we seen drivers get mechanical flags on something that was not their fault, while the person who caused it gets away scott free. But reverse it and it is a safe bet that Roland would have been on the bat phone to race control quick smart to complain about the loose panel. Thats my 2 cents |

If you cannot fix it with a hammer, you got a electrical problem
