TOPIC: New track for WA

We were discussing the possibility of creating a new track in Western Australia in the group chat. I came up with a possible layout, on some farmland just north the RAAF Pearce base...
Satellite image: ![]() Map: ![]() As you can see I've drawn direct inspiration from Oran Park and Eastern Creek Original satellite image taken from Google Maps. EDIT - I just checked, it's about 35-40km northwestish as the crow flies from Perth to the site of the track. |

That's pretty nice Kye.
Are you sure It's far away from the base and/or any houses ect? |

That looks pretty good Kye. The main hairpin looks more similar to Laguna Seca than EC [:D]
From memory, back in 2003, there was a proposal for a track to be built near Bunbury Airport to host one of the major Japanese Formual series. |

Yeah, there was one proposed for Formula Nippon, here's a map: ![]() Image from theracingline.net/racingcircuits/racingc...Australia/index.html (can't direct link to page, so scroll down to where it says "Perth"). |

Hey nice track design, Kytabu. I'm a sucker for anything that might bring a little of Oran Park back to life.

it's got a little bit of oran park and a little bit of eastern creek, it's like all the lost track being merged into one powerhouse track

The proposal for Formula Nippon looks a little bit long to me?

6.2km makes it slightly shorter than Bathurst (123m). The Formula Nippon tracks (I think) are Suzuka, Motegi, Fuji etc.
Maybe they should refurbish Claremont Showground and let the V8s loose on the dirt |
